Lethargy

A cow with milk fever has no appetite and is relatively inactive; its ears are often cold. Due to the shortage of calcium in its blood, the skeletal muscles in particular no longer function properly. This can lead to the cow being unable to get up. The muscles in the various organs too, such as the womb, the rumen, the heart and the intestines, no longer function properly. The cow no longer produces faecal waste or urine. Bloat may occur, because ruminal movements stop. A number of cows suffering from milk fever – some 8 per cent – die of the disease. It is thus important that a cow has a sufficient appetite and that the rumen function is optimal.

To boost energy requirements and reduce the risk of ketosis.

The Green Energy Bolus is a supplementary animal feed (dietetic feed) to boost energy requirements and reduce the risk of ketosis. This bolus contributes to the good health of your cows and produces an increase in their energy levels. It is important that the energy levels of your cows remain normal and that any deficiency is supplemented. Milk production decreases in animals that have a negative energy balance.

The Green Energy Bolus rapidly boosts energy levels and corrects negative energy balances. The Green Energy Bolus contains various ingredients with a high energy value, and the addition of  prebiotics ensures rapid and efficient absorption of these ingredients. The bolus also contains vitamins and minerals to improve the animal’s general condition.
